Windows Vista Coming Out

Windows Vista English Edition was released to MSDN subscribers on November 16,2006 So what are we waiting for...? Windows Vista(Vista was known by its codename(Longhorn) the Microsofts latest operating system that everyone has been waiting for almost an year is finally going to be out on November 30th, 2006 for volume license customers and worldwide availability on January 30th, 2007. The prices for Windows Vista Ultimate as (U$450.18), while Home Premium will be (U$269.71). An upgrade to Vista Ultimate will cost (U$269.71), while an upgrade to Home Premium will cost (U$179.51).(source). To checkout which edition is the most suitable for your PC

So How is Windows Vista different from other versions of Windows. Windows Vista has included hundreds of interesting features.It includes an updated GUI(graphical user interface) and visual styled dubbed Windows Aero, improved searching features, new DVD maker, redesigned audio and video systems. Vista also makes peer to peer technology making it easier to share files and digital media between computers and devices. It also includes .Net Framework that would help developers to compile highquality applications with Windows API.

The new features that are included in Vista are gisted below:
Windows Aero Interface(Authentic, Energetic, Reflective, and Open): An artistic and neat interface with transperencies, animations and eyecandy pictures
Vista Standard: Windows Vista Comes up with four different styles allowing each user to customize his preferences. They are Windows Aero,Windows Vista Standard,Windows Vista Basic,Windows Classic.

PC-to-PC Sync:A technology for synchronizing folders on multiple computers using peer-to-peer technology and is to be Post Vista released late next year.

User Account Control(UAC): A new technology where individual users are allowed to operate effectively as a "standard" user with fewer privileges.

Display Driver model: A new feature which provides cutting edge special effects and tearing free desktops

Touch Screen Support: A standard feature that is included for tablot pc's

Speech Recognition in Various languages: A system which recognizes your voice to instruct commands in Windows

New Games:New games include Chess Titans, Mahjong Titans and Purble Place.Further adding on to that the games sections will even have information about others games that are installed in the users computer.

DVD Maker: An inbility DVD maker to create video DVDs based on a user's content.

Windows Mail:A replacement for Outlook Express that includes a completely replaced mail store that improves stability, and enables real-time search. Further adding to that is the Junk Mail Filtering .

Windows Shell or Explorer: It includes a new full fledged organization, navigation, and search capabilities. A new favorites link is added to enable one-click access to directories. The start menu is replaced from the expanding version to a nice trasparent menu.
